Resourcing remote communities
Rob and Lisa are remote Christian resource distributors in Central Australia as volunteers with Wycliffe Australia. Taking the good news to remote communities where there are no missionaries is a new role being trialled by AuSIL (Australia Society for Indigenous Languages). Rob and Lisa hope to equip and encourage local Indigenous leaders with Scripture, songbooks and Bible-based audio materials in their heart language and English. They are based in Alice Springs and, in the course of a year, will cover an area almost twice the size of France. This includes extremely isolated and remote places with a dozen independent language groups.
